yoga for every body

Mindful Movement - Level 1

This class is taught by:

Tracy Coons

I am a ERYT-200 hour certified yoga instructor trained in the Viniyoga tradition, a birth doula and a mom of five fabulous children. I began practicing yoga in 1996 after the birth of my third child as a way to get my body back in shape, but discovered along the way that the practice brought me so much more than a healthy body. My yoga practice provides peace and balance and reminds me to take life as it comes, one breath at a time.

My passion is teaching prenatal yoga classes and workshops. I draw on my personal experience and my training as a doula to help expectant individuals move through pregnancy and birth with greater strength and ease and confidence.

Alison Eliason

She enjoys practicing and teaching viniyoga and creating a yoga practice that meets student needs and aspirations.

She became a certified yoga instructor in 2000 with Ellen Morell. Alison has studied locally and abroad. She spent time at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India. And in 2008, spent time with Collette Crawford to deepen her understanding of prenatal yoga. She graduated in November of 2010 from a 500 hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training with Laura Yon. She continues to deepen her practice of the eight limbs of yoga through personal practice, group classes and private sessions.

She currently leads classes for adults, private sessions, retreats and the instructor certification program. Alison incorporates yoga techniques into her daily life to help bring peace, balance and joy into living. She has two adult children and a supportive husband.

Yoga has helped her to breathe easier, be aware of her body, mind and spirit, notice her fears and judgments, and based on those observations, continue in her journey to be and create peace. She invites all ages and abilities to experience the compassionate studio setting and yoga teachings at Discover Yoga. Please contact Alison at

Sarah Kimsey

Teaching yoga in an accessible way is my mission. I have been practicing yoga for the past 10 years, however yoga took it's permanent place in my life soon after the birth of my daughter in 2007. Yoga has been a journey of self-acceptance and self-awareness for me, and it's my philosophy is that everyone can get something positive out of yoga that translates into their everyday lives. In June 2010, I completed my 200-hour RYT certificate from Discover Yoga.

Sarah George

Sarah found her way to yoga as a mom of 3 kids who needed a way to calm her monkey mind and carve out time for herself. While finding that peace and calm during practice, she discovered these benefits flowed into all aspects of her life. She knew that she wanted yoga to be part of her life for the rest of her life. Sarah completed Discover Yoga's Instructor Certification program in 2012, and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level. She is also the owner of White Orchid Soap Company. She emphasizes the importance of awareness and breath in her own practice and in her classes, as well as compassion for self and others.

Kadee Barello

Kadee brings a sense of playfulness and humility to her practice. She is open-minded and compassionate, and loves to see you smile. Enthusiastic about the multifaceted benefits of yoga, Kadee uses her knowledge in Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing), and Meditation to guide her students through a practice that focuses on mind-body connection (mindfulness). With training in the Viniyoga style, Kadee uses adaptations in yoga and offers variation in postures to fit individual needs

Lauren Guzinski

Lauren found yoga during college as a means to connect with herself and quiet her life in the midst of a busy day. Yoga became a way to encounter stillness. Through her practice she learned to accept life and its everyday challenges with compassion and gratitude. After relocating to Washington from the East Coast, yoga became a grounding practice through this change and she began routinely taking classes at Discover Yoga, and received her 200 hour RYT in 2016. I have a passion for people and helping them realize their own unique gifts through yoga practice. I believe in helping the individual meet the practice where they are and aim to gear classes towards the students. I invite you to come join me and share your practice, grace and strength.
A 75-minute yoga practice for beginning students and those returning to yoga after a break. This class focuses on posture, flexibility, joint safety, intentional movement and breathing in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace and listen to their bodies whether that means physical limitations or a desire to go deeper. Refer to the instructor bio for teaching style and background.
