This workshop is designed to give you deep rest and relaxation while helping to release fears and tension. Yoga Nidra is a restorative practice that is a combination of alert awareness and deep relaxation, it balances the nervous system and allows the body to restore and heal. It is a great way to come into total awareness during pregnancy and lead yourself to greater levels of empowerment and peace. The deeply healing, restful and meditative state of yoga nidra will help increase your confidence, help you let go of limiting beliefs and allow you to connect more deeply to yourself and your baby.
This workshop will include some discussion, gentle movement to help the body unwind and prepare and then the practice of Yoga Nidra. It couldn’t be simpler- Just Do nothing! Lie down, get comfortable with plenty of bolsters, blankets and pillows and then simply listen and follow the instructor’s voice and receive the healing benefits of the practice. Yoga Nidra has been shown to improve sleep, increase energy, improve concentration and mood as well as decreasing anxiety and depression. What could be better during pregnancy?
Cost of workshop is $40. Limited to a minimum of 5 students and maximum of 16 students.
We will create a safe and inviting space where everyone can feel comfortable. This workshop is open to all those who are pregnant.
Tracy is trained in the BOLD Method for Birth-Yoga Nidra for Pregnancy and Postpartum. She specializes in teaching yoga for the childbearing year and is also a birth doula and birth educator.
