Prenatal Yoga Nidra for Birth Preparation with Tracy Coons Sun, Aug 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This workshop is designed to help you discover the deepest levels of rest and relaxation, and to prepare you physically, mentally and emotionally for the birth of your baby. Yoga Nidra has been called "the deep sleep" and it works on all levels of your being to help you release any outside influences and unconscious fears or worries about birth, allowing you to experience deep calm and clarity about the path ahead of you. These relaxation techniques help to point you towards your truest self and to open the pathway of communication between you and your baby. In this workshop you'll experience some gentle stretches to unwind tension in the body, an exercise for developing your personal Sankalpa, or resolution and then a Yoga Nidra session designed specifically for pregnancy to help you achieve some much needed rest and rejuvenation and to let go of limiting beliefs about your body and your birth so that you can approach childbirth with confidence, insight and trust. In Yoga Nidra all you have to do is lie down comfortably, close your eyes, relax and follow the instructor's voice. There will be time at the end of class to discuss and get support and to get your questions answered. Cost: $25

Tracy Coons is a registered yoga instructor, a birth educator, a certified birth doula and mother of five.

Balance and Bliss Day Retreat with Retreat Staff Sat, Sep 23, 2017 at 7:00 am - 8:30 pm

“Balance is not a static state but is like a pendulum that swings from side to side.
We all crave balance. But too often we think balance means perfection. Instead be grateful for your mistakes & regrets they give balance to your victories and celebrations.”
-Judith Hanson Lasater

Sarah and Tracy invite you to step away from from your everyday, hectic schedule and step into the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest for a day of exploring what it means to have balance in your life and how to create more of it!
At this full-day retreat you’ll have the opportunity to dive deeper into your yoga practice and to cultivate more balance in your body, heart and mind while connecting with friends new and old.

The special day will include:
