Free Friday yoga and other free classes
Free Friday yoga classes are held monthly. This is a beginning level class for all students. Prenatal students welcome if the instructor is familiar with teaching prenatal students. (Prenatal students receive there first ongoing prenatal class free.)
We offer free workshops on occasion. Pre-registration is required. Please arrive 10 minutes early. You may also bring a monetary or food donation for HopeLink.

Introduction to Pranakriya Meditative Yoga
"Pranakriya” specifically means movement of energy – using postures and breath to increase energy, and then noticing that energy during meditation. Traditionally, the yoga classes can be anywhere from a gentle series of postures to a very physically demanding series, as well as somewhere in between. Regardless of the physical difficulty of the asanas (postures), classes always are led in a meditative manner. There is a strong focus on breath work (pranayama) and meditation, both seated and interspersed throughout the physical practice.
This special class will serve as an introduction to the Pranakriya style of yoga. The first 10-15 minutes will be a brief description of this style of yoga. This will allow the rest of the time to be a sampling of Pranakriya meditative yoga. We will experience a variety of breath practices, meditation, and a balance of stretching and moderately strengthening postures.

yoga nidra
Treat yourself to a night of deep healing, relaxation and rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit!
Yoga Nidra is an ancient practise which induces full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. During the practise one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level.
Yoga Nidra is a ‘sleep’ where all the burdens, stress, strain and anxiety are thrown off to attain more blissful state of awareness, a relaxation much more intense than ordinary sleep.
Yoga Nidra is practised lying on the floor in savasana completely still, supported by cushions and covered in a blanket. It is perfect for even those who have never practised yoga before. Just lie back, get comfortable and listen to the teacher’s instructions and let go.

Prenatal Couples Workshop
Partner support is a key element in having a blissful pregnancy and birth experience. This workshop will help you increase intimacy, create deeper mutual care and trust and is a great way to bond with each other and baby during this time of joyful transition. You’ll learn partner poses and individual postures with supportive touch. We’ll also explore breath techniques, partner massage, acupressure and comfort measures which will be beneficial during pregnancy and also help manage pain and create a peaceful, supportive environment for labor and birth.
This workshop is open to pregnant women in any stage of their pregnancy and their partners. All postures will be modified to be appropriate for all levels.

Family yoga workshop
Family Yoga offers parents and children, a way to experience the benefits of yoga together. Come ready to breathe, stretch, strengthen, play and relax. One parent per child. All levels of yoga experience welcome.
Date: Saturday, November 17th from 2:30 - 3:30PM with Alison.
Cost: $20. 4 parent/child partners minimum.
Breath and Meditation workshop
Deepening into your Being, take your yoga practice to a new level. Learn to settle the mind and thereby cultivate balance in your life, utilizing ancient techniques for our modern lives. Yoga has eight limbs, come explore pranayama (regulating the breath) and meditation to move into a deeper state of relaxation. It's like a re-boot for your mind! Along with pranayama and meditation, we'll weave gentle asana (movements) to loosen up the body and prepare you to sit. Whether you are new to yoga, or practicing for many years, all levels are welcome.
Date: Wednesday, July 18 and September 12th from 7:00 - 8:30PM with Phyllis.
